Keep up with the coders who can't write a line of code to drive business success | No Code

Learn about how no code platforms are changing the business landscape and how you can be a part of it.

As a small business owner, you know that keeping up with the latest technology can be a challenge. But did you know that you don't have to be a coder to drive success? In fact, research shows that there are many coders who can't write a line of code! The key is to understand simply what coding doess and what it can do for your business. With this knowledge, you'll be able to make informed decisions about whether or not to invest in coding resources.

Coding is not for the faint-hearted, but a new generation of entrepreneurs are using it to build their businesses. No matter what industry you're in or how big your company might be now. No code could help scale-up.

If you want to stay relevant in this day and age of innovation, it is time for no-code. No-code isn't just a fad; rather the complete opposite given how much technology has changed over recent years with emerging trends such as cloud computing which requires us all take advantage by being able use skills from different backgrounds or fields when necessary. Because nothing stays stagnant forever!

The debate surrounding no-code is pointless because it has value for every business. The difference between those that adopt and don't, however are widening more everyday

The biggest misconception about no-code is that it's some sort of complex system made up from building blocks. In reality, these programs can be created with relative ease and allow for a wide variety in tasks to accomplish - not just specific coding jobs. You can make the most basic of tasks, more efficient with some clever no-coding.

The idea behind no-code tools is that they provide a simple way to build apps. You don't need to know how a programme works if you use the right box. Boxes are simple and do what they're supposed to, but sometimes that's all we want - just like when my kids want something practical for their rooms, instead of decorations which take up space (and look cute).

APIs are boxes like little dollops of code that let one application talk to other applications. So it's not just another box, there is an entire stack (or pile) inside this big ol' jar! And when you get to the final layer, you eventually find some code. Yuck! But going that deep is missing the point.

The great thing about no-code platforms is that you can use them along side real code, without having to forgo all of your hard work. You'll be able create new software or extend existing products by adding in logic never before possible with just a few clicks on the mouse! And it will likely be quick and cheap. Starting to see where the scale-up bit now comes into no-coding?!

The world of software development is changing with the introduction and rapid adoption by the big technology companies. Gone are the days where you needed to hire developers for your project because no-code tools allow anyone who has access (even non-programmers) a chance at creating their own app in just minutes without having any coding skills. This means that now it's possible not only to quickly develop new products but also fix bugs through user feedback before they become widely known which gives these businesses an edge over those still using traditional methods.

The idea that no-code solutions are not mature enough to take on-market is preposterous. Forget about time or cost, these technologies have grown too fast for any serious developer's tastes just two years ago but now they're a fact of life - something we must learn how to do well if you want your business' success rate high enough.

Think about it... how many lines of code do you need to build a business? Zero! That's what we've been doing for the last two years here at Branta. But there are even more advantages: no-code platforms make everything easier by eliminating much time consuming manual labour; they also speed up development because developers don't have be limited with respect to their programming language abilities anymore. Anyone can access these tools regardless if they know anything at all (or just want something quick).

So what are you waiting for? Embrace the no-code revolution and see how you can build applications with little to no effort. If you're still feeling hesitant, don't worry – we're here to chat. Give us a call and let us show you how automation and no-code can speed up your financial processes.

Legal due diligence is a crucial part of any business transaction, especially mergers and acquisitions. It is a comprehensive examination of a company from all angles to ensure that there are no hidden liabilities or potential legal issues that could arise post-acquisition. The process typically begins with the receipt of a legal due diligence questionnaire from the buyer’s solicitor. This questionnaire serves as a roadmap for the due diligence process, outlining the various areas that need to be inspected.

If you own a small or medium-sized business and have ever applied for a loan or credit facility, you may have come across the term "personal guarantee." Simply put, it's a legal contract between the lender and the borrower that states that one or more individuals will act as a guarantor for the loan, should the business be unable to repay it. In this blog post, we'll explore what personal guarantees are, why lenders require them, and how you can deal with them to protect yourself and your business.
A construction site in which a grinder is being used and sparks are flying
18 Aug, 2023
It's an open secret that the construction industry is currently going through a challenging period. This predicament has resulted from a confluence of factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, escalating materials costs, labour supply issues, main contractors failing to meet payment expectations, and banks reducing their support for the sector. With increasing cash pressures and banks reducing the availability of borrowing facilities, the traditional avenues for financial support are becoming less accessible. But what options does a construction business owner have during these difficult times? Thankfully, there are alternative financing structures available. At Branta, we're dedicated to helping you navigate these financial waters and move your business forward. The Current Financial Landscape in the Construction Industry The global COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc across all sectors, and the UK construction industry hasn't been spared. The pandemic has disrupted supply chains, leading to increased costs for materials. The problem has been compounded by labour shortages due to Brexit-driven immigration policies and self-isolation requirements. Moreover, main contractors are not meeting payment expectations, exacerbating cash flow issues for many businesses. Banks, traditionally a reliable source of funding, are reducing their support for the sector, leaving many companies in the lurch. And finance directors are increasingly anxious as cash always seems to arrive too late. Late payments can wreak havoc with a company’s reputation, which in turn hampers their ability to procure labour and materials. Which may then affect their hard-earned commercial advantage when tendering for new work. Issuing a notice to suspend work - a last-ditch effort to remedy non-payment - is proving to be a futile exercise rather than a solution. These mounting pressures have left many construction firms in a precarious financial position, struggling to see a long-term future for their company. What Does This Mean for Construction Business Owners? In these challenging times, construction business owners may feel like they're in a financial squeeze, with dwindling resources and limited avenues for financial assistance. This could lead to a slowdown in operations, layoffs, or worse, business closure. However, it doesn't have to be this way. There are still viable financial solutions available, and that's where alternative financing comes into play. Managing cash flow is a universal challenge for businesses, with 61% of small business owners regularly struggling with cash flow issues. Poor cash flow management can lead to serious problems, even when a busine ss appears profitable. The struggle to maintain cash levels often stems from a variety of factors. Low profit margins, holding too much stock, giving customers too much credit, and unnecessary spending are all common causes of cash flow shortfalls. Moreover, small and medium-sized businesses are particularly prone to irregular cash flows and limited liquidity. This makes it crucial for these businesses to pay close attention to their working capital and cash flow management. Introducing Alternative Financing In the face of these challenges, where should a company turn if it needs additional financial support? Traditional UK banks may not be the most reliable source of aid in these trying times. Thankfully alternative financing options exist that construction businesses can explore. These include solutions from various non-traditional sources, but companies should be assured that alternatives to traditional banks do exist. Alternative financing refers to financial channels, processes, and instruments that have emerged outside the traditional finance system such as regulated banks and capital markets. These may include peer-to-peer lending platforms, crowd funding, invoice trading, supply chain and trade finance, among others. These financing options can offer more flexibility, shorter approval times, and potentially lower interest rates compared to traditional banking facilities. How Can Branta Help?
